The Stone Mines Empty

While working in the stone mines may not seem glamorous or exciting, please understand that having producing stone mines is ESSENTIAL to our county's economy. Without stone the county cannot maintain or expand our gold and steel mines; gold for our newly minted money and steel for our forges. For those who don't know steel is used in the hoops on our buckets used to collect milk and now on barrels to contain distilled whisky. Steel is also used to make knives which slaughter all our animals from which we obtain meat and hides for shields and shoes;and shear our sheep so that our weavers can make clothing form the wool. Steel is also used for axes, helmets, and swords. Without stone all of these things, and more, are impacted.
The county incentive program adds 3 pounds a day to the wages in the mines. That makes the daily wages 18 pounds a day, without having to apply and wait to see if you are the best applicant. For Level 0 players this is an incredible opportunity. For Level 1 players, to gain Reputation Points to level up you need to hire workers for your fields or to tend to livestock. You can afford to pay decent wages to others, if you work the mines. Level 3 players, if you don't need the money, work the mines as a visible statement of your civic pride. Two or three days a week can help. Aren't you the least bit embarrassed that smaller towns can put more people in their mines on a consistent basis or that their Level 3 players are coming here to work our mines?

For those of you who are working in the mines, I thank your for your efforts. You are truly part of what makes Largs the wonderful town it is.
